General Aftercare Instructions for Permanent Cosmetic Applications
Perform the following instructions for 5 days or as indicated below:
· Please follow ALL aftercare instructions for your safety and to acquire optimal results from your procedure.
· Within 20 minutes of leaving your appointment, wipe the Vaseline applied by your technician from the treated area with a fresh Kleenex. Wash your hands thoroughly and rinse well. With clean fingers, gently wash the tattooed area with cool water. Take care to dissolve and “weeping” or blood that may have surfaced and started to dry. Pat dry with a Kleenex and re-apply a thin film of Vaseline with a Q-Tip and work it into the tattooed area like a moisturizer.
· Repeat the above process several times in the first few hours following your procedure.
· You may ice the area for a couple minutes at a time (ice in Ziplock bag), then let it rest.
· Apply Vaseline 3-5 times a day for approximately 5 days. Vaseline is recommended for most clients as it is non-reactive for most clients.
· You will find Q-tips and a Vaseline single use packet in your aftercare kit. Please keep it with you while out and about so that you can keep the areas that are treated, well moisturized.
· Do not rub the tattooed area while it is healing. Do not pick at any scabs that may occur as this may cause loss of color.
· No make-up, sun, soap, or swimming of any kind for 5 days following your procedure.
· No tinting of lashes or brows, use of Latisse or any lash stimulator for at least 2 weeks following any procedure. This includes for follow up visits.
· If you experience any itching, swelling, blistering, or any other complications following your procedure, stop using the aftercare ointment and call your physician immediately. You may be allergic to the aftercare product.
· If you have had an eyeliner procedure, to do rub or scratch the area.
· If you have had a lip procedure, we recommend that you avoid salty, spicy, or acidic foods. We also suggest that you drink through a straw the first few days and try not to lick your lips too often.
· If you notice anything out of the ordinary, please call your physician.
· Remember your tattoo color will look much darker for the first 5-10 days following the procedure. The area must heal and peel before revealing the softer color beneath.
· To protect your permanent cosmetics, we recommend you use a sunblock. Whatever you use on your facial skin will be sufficient for the tattooed areas. This will lengthen the lifetime of your tattoo.
· If you use any products that contain AHA’s, Vitamin A, Retinol, Retin-A, or any products that bleach or lighten the skin, or peeling products such as glycolic acid, lactic acid, keep these away from the tattooed areas. These can fade your color permanently.
· If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your artist immediately.
Failure to follow the above advice may result in less than desirable results and you agree to follow ALL directions above.

Generally, it takes 3 to 5 days for your cosmetic enhancement to heal. This can vary depending on many factors including but not limited to diet, medications, or medical conditions.
It typically doesn't hurt much more than a regular tattoo. However, pain levels differ for everyone. Additionally, you can expect that the lip enhancement service will be the most painful as lips are one of the most sensitive parts of the human body.
My preference is to provide a consistent service and adapting it to the individual for best results. I am always participating in continued education and searching for the latest techniques from master artists to ensure I give you the best results.
